Items found in the church are placed in a box in the closet to the left of the front door. Items not claimed will be donated each quarter.
Our church building was intentionally designed so that we move past our baptismal font when entering the worship space. Signing ourselves from the font serves as a reminder of one's individual baptism and that we enter the church through baptism. We feel that, with the font being so close to the Narthex doors, we would lose some of this symbolism by adding additional holy water fonts to the worship space.

St. Bernadette Ave. is a public street and we cannot mandate parking procedures. Norton Commons has been met with and they state there are alternate avenues for traffic flow.
We welcome new parishioners in a variety of ways, including emails with parish information and personal welcome phone calls. Also, the new member is invited to attend a New Member Orientation meeting in which the new member is introduced to other new members as they all have an opportunity to meet our priest and see the church.

In the past, Saint Bernadette has been raising money for assisting our Sister parish in Haiti. These funds have been helping buy resources and for supplementing teachers' salaries. After the hurricane in 2016, Saint Bernadette raised $68,000 for disaster relief. These funds were for rebuilding the parish and assisting in other ways. Future funds will have the intention of helping the parish become independent and continue to grow.
The Archdiocese of Louisville has determined to eliminate the envelope system and Saint Mary Academy is following those wishes.
A representative from the finance committee has stated, "The new public school has not had an impact on SMA registration as there have been only 2 families go to Norton Commons school, and that is because a parent got a job there."
